Processing feelings


Feelings are meant to be felt!

Not to be chastised
squelched
ignored
pushed down
but allowed to run like a stream

Old unexpressed feelings will turn
hard
lumpy
painful
and never go away
until we
acknowledge them
and ask them

What are you?
What would you like to do?
I acknowledge you
and allow you
to express yourself.
You will find that after they are allowed
to express themselves through
crying
screaming
talking
drawing
writing
or another safe expression
they will
untwist from rage to joy
unravel from sorrow to peace
unclog from blame to acceptance

and bring completion to your life
